Auto-On Single Beam Laser Scanner
 Description 
FUTURISTIC DESIGN, AUTO-ON LASER can be used as fixed-projection scanner (scanner remains in the stand) or hand-held operation. Automatically decodes most popular one-dimensional bar code symbologies. (Stock number 1821 has the additional ability to read 2D RSS and PDF417 codes). Available in two different models, "Auto-On / Auto-Send" and "Auto-On / Trigger-Send":
 
Auto-On / Auto-Send - Scanner beam activates when an object intercepts proximity sensor at the front of the scanner. Data is automatically sent to the host computer upon recognition of valid bar code in the field of the laser beam.
 
Auto-On / Trigger-Send - When the scanner is docked in the stand, it operates just as Auto-On / Auto-Send. When removed from the stand (in the hand-held mode), scanner beam activates when an object intercepts proximity sensor at the front of the scanner. (This permits alignment with selected barcode from a sheet or label containing numerous barcodes.) Data is sent to the host computer when the trigger button is depressed while the desired bar code is present in the field of the laser beam.

 Available Interfaces 
Keyboard Wedge Interface: Single cable and adapter (provided) attach to your system unit and keyboard (PS/2 or PC/AT connector). No additional adapters required. (Some notebook computers REQUIRE that a keyboard be connected to scanner jack - cannot be used with external keyboard port of a notebook computer without using an external keyboard).
 
USB Interface: Single cable with USB connector attaches to your computer's USB port. (Windows automatically configures the USB scanner to send data to the keyboard buffer.)
